FAQ
Are courses available part-time or online?
Yes! We recognize that some of our students may have jobs, families, and other commitments that prohibit them from physically attending classes during the day.
As such, we are pleased to facilitate online, part-time and flexible learning. Should you wish to verify that our program schedule meets your individual needs, please get in touch with us.
What financing options do you have?
We understand that for many, putting their education first may come with added financial difficulties, and we are here to assist you in implementing a viable plan. There are various Educational Funding Initiatives provided by the Canadian and/or Ontario governments, Training & Education loans provided by financial institutions, as well as OCMT bursaries and scholarships to eligible students. We firmly believe that no student should be left without education due to financial reasons, and are committed to working with you.
What is your COVID-19 protocol?
The wellbeing of our students and staff remain the most important priority, and we have implemented very strict safety measures to mitigate against contracting the COVID-19 infection. We have successfully moved a significant number of our formerly in-person classes online, as well as are ensuring full compliance with the virus prevention guidelines set out by the Government of Canada. We have implemented additional cleaning and sanitation of surfaces, physical distancing measures in classrooms, mandatory use of masks by all employees and students, as well as promoting increased hand hygiene.
What levels of courses are available?
OCMT provides undergraduate, as well as postgraduate courses depending on your chosen area of study. As per the requirements specified by the Ontario Ministry of Colleges and Universities, a student must possess a provincially recognized high school diploma or equivalent in order to commence studies in the undergraduate programs.
What can I do with my education?
The skill-based, highly sought-after occupations OCMT provides training for are recession-proof and help fill a large gap in the employment market. The need for Cyber Security professionals is ever increasing, especially in preparation for a wide presence of autonomous vehicles, online payment options and larger corporate data storage.
